Heritage Foundation

The purpose of the Freistadt Heritage Foundation (FHF) Board is to operate and maintain the Lindenwood School and promote and educate others on the cultures within the Freistadt community, primarily made up of immigrants from Pomerania and Germany. As a component of its Constitution, the FHF is also dedicated to cultural exchanges with similar groups from German and northern European countries with the goal of promoting and encouraging interactions that place our collective heritage in a positive light.

The Peter Randall Memorial Scholarship is an annual award given to young people with the purpose of funding academic and technical higher education. It honors Pete Randall’s lifetime of service, teaching, and dedication to his own German heritage. The fund was established by the Freistadt Heritage Foundation through donations recognizing Pete’s 37-year membership in the Alte Kameraden Band as well as his contributions as an educator in the Mequon-Thiensville School District and as an active participant among the German communities in southeast Wisconsin.
